Holmsey visits Denmark!

Holmsey's visit with Karen Jorgen Jenson

Holmsey has enjoyed his stay with me in Copenhagen and I have enjoyed having him. He liked my friend in the flowers on the balcony, and nibbled at the strawberries when I wasn't watching!

Holmsey reaches Hemel Hempstead, England!

Holmsey's stay with Julie B.

View Hare Hop on Holmsey Hare's travel map.

Holmsey hopped his way into Hemel Hempstead bringing the sun with him . Hemel is about 20mins drive from London and only a walk away from the countryside, so we have the best of both worlds.
My towns claim to fame is our well known 'Magic Roundabout' only one of two like this in the world!

Also enjoyed by the sporty set is our snow slope :-)

Holmsey joined me on my daily walk with my Jack Russell, who he got on famously with, in the little woods behind my house. Played with my granddaughter aged 2 who loved him to bits and had a little tour around the town. Where he decided to buy a new brush from Kents Brushes to help when he is having a 'Bad HARE Day'

We all had a lovely time with Holmsey , who has now hopped of to his next destination and left behind rain :-(

I stitched Holmsey's chart on overdyed 28 count evenweave, using Holmsey's thread from Jodyri.

Thanks Holmsey for visiting me and my family, Julie B xxx

Holmsey's visit to Heswall

Holmsey visits Jenny!

Hi everyone!

Holmsey has now left Heswall and is now on his way to Denmark.
He had a lovely time here although the weather could have been better.

Heswall is a small town on the Wirral peninsular which is between the River Dee, which separates us from North Wales, and the River Mersey which separates us from Liverpool. On the highest point you can see across to Wales and the Snowdon range and the other way, across to Liverpool and in the distance Blackpool tower and the Lake District. Its a great place to live, many well knowns from the world of football, live in and around Heswall.
Holmsey went for a little trip further up the coast to have one of Parkgate's famous icecreams and had lunch there too. Parkgate was where Nelson's famous mistress Lady Hamilton, was from!

I have attached some photos of around the area and of my finished piece. It was stitched on 16 ct Zweigart platinum.
I love being part of this journey.

Love Jenny

Ps photos are: Parkgate, map of Wirral, view from Heswall golf course across to Wales, ferry 'cross the Mersey!, sunset at Parkgate across the marshes

Holmsey's First Stop!

First hop and stitchy finish by Jacquie!

Holmsey's first finish was in Worthing, in England.

Holmsey and Jacquie send you all a postcard!

Worthing.... Here is a little info...

Worthing is a lovely place to live if you want to be by the sea and soak in that sea air! If you are of retirement age you will love it here!! There is so much to do for the elderly as well as plenty of retirement complexes and nursing homes to live in.
Soon Worthing will look a little different as it will be undergoing a face life to attract all ages. The new developments include a multi complex cinema/ice rink and major eating outlets. Also new shops so it may well feel a better place to live in a few years time! I live here as my parents settled here...

Holmsey had a lovely day out visiting the pier!

Holmsey was stitched on Pomona linen from Chromatic Alchemy!
